3rd Steep:  30sec at 90°C

Put 6g of tea leaves inside Japanese Teapot (Kyusu). Pour hot water at 70 to 80℃.

We recommend to steep two more times.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Shizu-7132 is a unique varietal and it is hard to master its cultivation: the shoots are red and once harvested turn green. Courmarin is the substance within Shizu-7132 that explains the Cherry flavor (courmarin is also found in Vanilla and Cinnamon).

An Exquisite Gift!

I purchased SAKURA and MEBAE as a gift for a colleague. This was their feedback: The tea is exquisite- beautiful, nuanced flavors in a smooth and balanced brew. I don’t always say this about tea - but it is intriguing- I keep wanting to take another sip to experience the lovely flavor profile and try to identify what I was tasting.

Highly recommended!

I was looking for a great gift for my colleagues which would be thoughtful, unique and have positive impact on my community. I was delighted to be introduced to Cup of Japan and their beautiful product range. I sent the Sakura tea to colleagues in three different countries and had fantastic support from the Cup of Japan team to make my complicated order go smoothly. My colleagues were delighted to have this beautifully packaged gift and a bit of Japan delivered to their homes. I will be using this company again in the near future.

Fruity!

Very enjoyable fruity tea! Nice subtle cherry flavour - taste reminds me of all the Sakura-infused products that come out in Japan in the run up to the Cherry Blossom season.
